Als fan van No Doubt in de jaren 90 en 00’s ben ik zeer vertrouwd met de muziek en het geluid van Gwen Stefani. Al is haar solo werk wel wat anders dan dat met de band.
Het is vooral poprock en hier en daar countryinvloeden, maar gelukkig niet te veel van dat laatste.
En wel met het herkenbare stemgeluid, melodieën en teksten zoals Gwen dat kan.
En ach, dan ben ik misschien niet helemaal objectief, het ligt toch wel weer erg lekker en vertrouwd in het gehoor. Oude liefde roest niet, zullen we maar zeggen!
