De Britse band The Waterboys, bekend van hun grote hit ‘The Whole of the Moon’ uit de jaren 80, bracht vorige maand een nieuw album uit met een ode aan de acteur Dennis Hopper (o.a. bekend van de films ‘Easy Rider’ en ‘Speed’).
Op dit album werkten meerdere grote namen uit de muziekwereld mee, zoals Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle en Fiona Apple. Het album heeft 25 nummers die erg uiteenlopen in stijl, het betreft o.a. spoken word, doo wop, americana, soul en blues. Life, Death & Dennis Hopper wordt wereldwijd geroemd en is een frisse blik op het oeuvre van The Waterboys.
