De Amsterdamse band Marathon heeft al een behoorlijke live reputatie opgebouwd en de singles doen het ook goed. Tijd voor een volwaardig album met hun mix van shoegaze, post-punk, grunge, noise en wat al niet meer. Waar ze begonnen met 3 muzikanten is de band nu uitgegroeid tot een 5-koppig geheel.
Opbouw en intensiteit zijn sleutelwoorden als het gaat om de nummers van Marathon.
Ze hebben de live-ervaring prima weten te vatten en al met al is het een zeer sterk album geworden.
Geef de plaat vooral meerdere luisterbeurten, het wordt alleen maar beter.
