VINCE CLARKE – Songs Of Silence (cd) 17,95

Vince Clarke: dan denk je al snel aan “I Just Can’t Enough”, de hit die hij schreef voor Depeche Mode. Daarna volgde de huppel-electro van Erasure en singles met Paul Quinn, Ane Brun, en Paul Hartnoll van Orbital. Nu is eindelijk het eerste serieuze solo album “Songs Of Silence” verschenen. Vergeet al het voorgaande werk, nu stort Clarke zich op instrumentale elektronische muziek. Tien sfeervolle tracks, allen klokkend rond de vier minuten, met fraai gedragen klanken, hier en daar voorzien van een spaarzame beat. Duidelijk het beste dat Clarke in zijn hele muzikale carrière gemaakt heeft.
Zodat je na iedere beluistering toch “I just can’t get enough” zegt.
